This large, high walled courtyard has made a beautiful garden.  My clients had previously put a good sized pond in but had decided to downsize it.  The pond was already equipped with a pump so it was a perfect situation to build a meandering stream with a small pond at the end of it, within the walls of the old pond.

The stream and new pond were both faced with stone and the voids around them were filled with tonnes of rubble and hardcore and topped with plenty of topsoil.  These areas were then planted up.

I also laid a large raised stone patio with steps leading to the courtyard garden.
